Solar Eclipse is a series of two pieces based on the Nanking Massacre in World War II. A painting inspired by Surrealist Yves Tanguy and a projection. Judith means to draw the surreal feeling of historical nostalgia of the Chinese generation for the phenomenon of the solar eclipse. The original red spot on the Japanese flag symbolizes the solar of hope. However, in 1937, the solar on the flag seemed to experience a solar eclipse that was covered by the Nanking Massacre. The shadow was not just the Japanese aggressors, but the darkness of war and the loss of human nature.
