Why Judith Square?
Judith's Chinese surname is Fang, translated as the shape square in English. But “square” can also mean an open and flat outdoor place. In the square, the ownership of space is hidden, the boundaries are blurred, and everything can pass and exert a subtle influence on the square.

Just as Judith questions her artist agency in a piece of artwork, she gives the rights of art-making to the materials and makes them the deciders of how the artwork should appear. She cooperates with physical rules and enlarges each material’s property to record the physical forces they percept.
With a human perspective, she visualizes the experiences of living on Earth. She builds tensional communication between her intentions, materials, and the inevitable natural order on earth. Together, they restrain each other and lead the appearance of her artwork to gradually unfold to a destination unpredictable.

Judith is not the absolute maker of art, she is the opportunity and the location where leads art to happen.
